Job Summary:



The Recruitment and Engagement Specialist works as part of the P&C Team to develop, implement, and manage P&C programs and initiatives. This position focuses largely on addressing the agency's recruitment and engagement needs, designing, and implementing changes, and developing Archway's engagement with candidates.

Your Role:



Supporting hiring managers with job postings, recruitment strategies, and advertising. Collaborating with hiring managers to develop and update job descriptions. Coordinating and attending job fairs and People & Culture (P&C) related events within the Fraser Valley. Evaluating current recruitment and selection processes for employees and practicum students; recommending improvements based on best practices and program needs. Tracking and reporting on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate satisfaction. Providing oversight of the onboarding process; recommending enhancements to improve new hire experience. Assisting in reviewing and interpreting recruitment-related policies and procedures; recommending updates to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices. Collaborating with the P&C team to develop and deliver training for supervisors on recruitment and onboarding processes. Supporting the development and implementation of the P&C Strategic Plan with a focus on recruitment and engagement initiatives. Assisting with P&C administrative tasks, including documentation collection and data management. Performing other duties as required.
This position is a great fit for someone who has at least two years full time experience administering a recruitment and selection process program, well developed knowledge of the BC Employment Acts, Laws and Policies and the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.

Our Offer



Wage: $24.00 to 28.00 per hour A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Temporary until January, 2026.

Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have:



Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Human Resources, psychology, communication or related field, or 5 years' related experience in the HR field. CPHR Candidate or Designation will be an asset. At least 2 years' full-time experience administering the recruitment and selection process. Experience building and implementing P&C processes and tools.

The Job Requires you to have:



Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse individuals. Well-developed knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, BC Labour Relations Act, Workers Compensation Act, BC Human Rights Code, and principles of Employment and Labour Law. In-depth knowledge of recruitment and selection processes, including relevant principles and best practices. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. Proficient in Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Valid BC Driver's License with access to a reliable personal vehicle. A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment. Interruptions are common; a well-developed ability to switch task in a busy environment is important. This position works in a shared office space. This position has long periods of sitting and screen/keyboard use. This position requires meeting with individuals in person, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols.
