We have an immediate opening for an experienced
Recruiter
for our Canadian and U.S. operations. This role will have the opportunity to work remotely and have flexible hours upon negotiation.
High-level Responsibilities include:
Full-Cycle Recruitment
: Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, coordinating hiring manager interviews, and final candidate selection across Canadian and U.S. operations.
Strategic Talent Planning
: Collaborate with management to assess staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Candidate Assessment & Onboarding
: Evaluate applicant eligibility, communicate employment requirements, and provide clear updates on application status. Assist with onboarding documentation and processes.
HR Documentation & Reporting
: Maintain accurate records including vacancy listings, interview notes, candidate communications, and hiring data to support compliance and tracking.
Training & Best Practices
: Develop and deliver training for hiring managers on recruitment procedures, interview techniques, and candidate engagement best practices.
Support for Broader HR Functions
: Provide general HR support as needed, including compliance with employment standards, employee relations inquiries, and policy guidance.
Internal Service Delivery
: Act as a key HR contact, providing prompt and professional support to internal stakeholders while ensuring confidentiality and responsiveness.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent
5-7 + years Experience in a Recruiting Role
General Human Resources Experience an Asset
Demonstrated knowledge of employment standards and Human Rights Legislation
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated, self-starter, adapts easily to change
A sense of urgency, confidentiality, and integrity
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work with a large amount of data
Preferred Skills
RPR Designation
Experience with recruiting for Construction or Commercial Construction Industries
An understanding of Human Resource concepts, policies, and administrative procedures
