About The Role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the Recruiter will support the end-to-end recruitment process for skilled trades roles such as Electricians, Millwrights, Welders, Fabricators, and Refrigeration Technicians. This position is well-suited for individuals looking to develop their career in talent acquisition, with a focus on high-volume recruitment and proactive talent pipeline management. The Recruiter will play a key role in ensuring we attract, engage, and retain qualified trades professionals to meet the evolving workforce needs of our clients and operational teams. This is a 3-6 month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Source candidates through job boards, social media, internal databases, referrals, and networking channels; Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for high-demand skilled trades positions; Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates based on role requirements and certifications; Conduct initial phone screenings to assess skills, availability, and overall fit; Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates across multiple locations or shifts; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); Communicate effectively with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide updates on recruitment progress; Support pre-employment steps including reference checks, trade ticket verification, and onboarding coordination.

They are proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow and learn within the talent acquisition field, contributing positively to a collaborative team focused on attracting top skilled trades professionals.

Our Must Haves

Previous experience is a plus, but we're excited to support recent graduates who are motivated to build a career in talent acquisition or dive into the Human Resources field. A diploma, certificate, or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred; Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is considered an asset; Strong organizational and communication skills.

Salary:

$55,000 to $65,000 per year + Please note - the listed salary is dependent on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
