Recreational Gymnastics Coach

We're a well-established recreational and competitive gymnastics and athletics facility that prioritizes lifelong athlete development and exceptional customer experience. Knowledge of gymnastics, dance (acro), tumbling, teaching, physical/fitness training, (or other equivalents), working with children, leading children through games and/or physical activities are an asset. Typical work week includes afternoon, evenings and weekend shifts

Skills & Qualifications:

Gymnastics Foundations Trained or be willing to obtain Certified First Aid + CPR Risk Management, Respect in Sport, Making Head Way, Safe Sport and Making Ethical Decisions Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children Team player with leadership potential Honest, reliable, role model

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preparation of lesson plans for classes Teach recreational and/or competitive gymnastics classes, assist with birthday parties, camps, special club events Work with groups of 6-8 children Develop healthy, positive relationships with participants and parents and deliver constructive motivational support and guidance Ensure athlete progression and achievement of goals and mastery of curriculum Work in collaboration with all coaching staff to develop athletes and ensure club success Provide a safe, supportive and fun learning and training environment Follow all of our emergency and safety procedures Participate in staff meetings, training, events, and reviews as scheduled Help maintain a safe, clean and tidy gym space and coaches room Maintain class records in an orderly and efficient manner Uphold all GymZone policies, procedures, standards, and code of conduct to ensure safety of all athletes and coaches

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
