Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Recreation Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in serving residents and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role is essential for ensuring that our residents receive social and spiritual aspects of care. Ability to incorporate the Mennonite Nursing Homes Mission & Values. Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator.

Summary of Duties:

• Work under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator
• Assist residents with their social, recreational and spiritual care needs is an expectation
• Ensure all duties are performed in an efficient and safe manner
• Encourage residents in daily living to promote a happy and healthy lifestyle
• Educational training and experience an asset

Skills and Abilities:

• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
• Musical abilities preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Creative skills is an asset
• Ability to work well with others and independently
• Physical ability to carry out duties of the position
• Willingness to steward the spiritual care of residents

This position will have variable hours and schedule and be subject to a review in 6 months' time with a start date February 25th, 2025.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.02 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
