RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
- Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of programs in the home including one-to-one, small group, large group, focus groups, and special events that meet the physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents.
- Complete resident assessments and establish goals and interventions based on the residents identified individual needs.
- Complete program documentation including attendance, progress notes, care plans, assessments and RAPS using point click care and RAI/MDS.
- Assist in the development of the monthly activity calendar.
- Decorate for special events, holidays and seasonal events.
- Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long-term care setting.
- Demonstrate initiative, and the ability to work independently or in a group setting.
- Competency in Point Click Care and MDS RAJ
- Demonstrated skills in individual and group programming.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation and activation/ gerontology.
