12 Neighbours Community is seeking a compassionate and community-driven
Recovery Counsellor
to join our team. Working closely with the Recovery Lead, this role provides evidence-based, person-centred support to community members navigating recovery and personal development. The Recovery Counsellor will play an essential role in service delivery, crisis response, program facilitation, and building partnerships that foster a safe and supportive community environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver brief intervention, counselling, and service coordination.
Co-lead substance use and recovery-focused programs.
Collaborate with service providers to coordinate effective interventions and ensure community safety.
Monitor the well-being of community members and connect them with appropriate internal and external resources.
Provide clinical consultation to transitional housing projects.
Represent 12 Neighbours Community by offering presentations and community tours when requested.
Qualifications and Skills
Active credential
in social work, addiction counselling, or mental health counselling, in good standing with a professional regulatory body.
Open to both
new graduates and experienced professionals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
Experience in crisis response, risk assessment, and de-escalation strategies.
Skilled in partnership development and community collaboration.
Strong organizational skills, including documentation, reporting, and case management.
