About Our Opportunity

As a Reconciliation Clerk (Clerk 4), you are responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing transactions for over 30 programs delivered by the Business Registration Unit for quality assurance received by multiple service delivery channels, including customer service by phone, in-person, mail/fax, and online for individual and business customers of Service Nova Scotia in a fast paced, continuously evolving service delivery environment.
  • Investigating documents in accordance with relevant Acts, Statutes, policies and procedures, and determining whether application requests meet program eligibility requirements.
  • Responsible for the control of serial numbered and non-serial numbered inventory and the protection of public funds.
  • While using audit best practices, you will review reports and report your findings to the division managers, and/or directors.
  • Provide recommendations based on results to management to improve quality assurance.
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Review user access, across all platforms.
  • Ensuring on-boarding and off-boarding of employees.
Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, you possess 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. In addition, you hold:
  • Experience in a regulatory environment reviewing and approving business applications.
  • Experience administering quality review and reporting findings to management.
  • An ability to absorb and retain numerous complex licensing requirements and apply your knowledge to quality review processes.
  • An understanding of basic finance and accounting principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience working productively with minimal supervision, to prioritize workload, respond to changing priorities and adapt to changes in program processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
The following will be considered assets:
  • You are familiar with the Nova Scotia Business Registry AMANDA system and Registry of Joint Stock Backoffice platform.
  • You easily learn and understand new processes and can apply complex concepts to process reviews.
  • Proven data entry skills and the ability to use multiple computer applications and software to support business processes.
  • You posses a positive attitude and easily adapt in a changing environment.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Additional Information

This is a TERM employment opportunity with anticipated end date of April 25, 2025. The appointment status (\'term\', \'temporary\' or \'casual\') is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Pay Grade: CL 22

Salary Range: $1,924.59 - $2,128.70 Bi-Weekly
