They are our greatest asset.Join us and let\xe2\x80\x99s grow together.About the Job:Reporting to the Technical Director, North America for Closure and Legacy Assets, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the active closure and long-term, ongoing closure obligations at a collection of legacy sites within a geographic region of North America. The Reclamation Manager will manage the assigned reclamation sites to ensure their compliance with Glencore\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives, closure plans, operating permits and legal requirements.Main Accountabilities:
Lead the safe and effective operation of water management systems, water treatment plants and tailings facilities;
Oversee reclamation, maintenance, and revegetation projects;
Ensure proactive implementation of Health, Safety and Risk Management programs and protocols at sites within the assigned territory;
Develop annual site operating budgets, and manage spend throughout the year to ensure efficient use of resources;
Act as Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer/Person (RTFE)
Responsible for building relationships with stakeholders through engagement with regulatory, First Nations, local government and non-governmental organizations, and shared responsibility parties as may be the case;
Provide closure planning technical support to operating sites as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 industrial experience, preferably in the mining industry, with sound general knowledge of operations. Minimum of 7 years in a management or leadership role required;
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Sciences or a related field from a recognized institution;
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, process control, mine reclamation and tailings facilities;
Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and/or pumping systems;
Demonstrated ability to engage with Governmental and Non-Governmental Stakeholders;
Strong management skills including experience in managing remote teams;
Superior oral and written communication skills;
Strong computer skills with proficiency utilizing the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.);
Excellent organizational and scheduling skills;
Ability to travel to the operations and periodically elsewhere within North America (30-50% of the time);
Valid G Class driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
