is looking for a full-time Patient Coordinator in our Reception Team Tuesdays till Saturdays. The practice is located in beautiful Sidney by the sea. PLECC is a progressive 45+ year independent, full service optometric care and dispensing practice with six doctors and a busy eye glass gallery showcasing over 1000 frames.

Primary Responsibilities: Work hours are Monday to Friday
Phone/Email/Desk Management
Telephone management, Schedule, Reschedule and Cancel appointments
Manage voicemail messages, reply to messages.
Check and reply to Reception emails.
Call patients and confirm appointments for next business day. Review arrival time, doctor, cost, insurance, and important information and examination protocols with the patient.
Conduct Recall appointment calls. Process as required for scheduled appointments.
Patient Check-In Management
Greet and welcome patients checking in for clinical appointments.
For appointments, ask screening questions, gather routing slip, and obtain signatures as required.
Escort the patient to the waiting room.
Patient Check-Out Management
At patient exit, Collect routing slip, Create invoice, run insurance, print eye glass prescription.
Book follow-up appointments or recalls.
Make payments on POS machine.
Billing/Invoicing/Insurance
Create invoices
Submit charges to insurance; apply insurance payment to patient bill.
Collect payment.
Enter in billing codes.
Skills:
- Experience working at a front desk or in a customer service role
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Visual Eyes.

Qualifications (Good to have)
Optical Reception experience
Front desk and administrative experience
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems
Customer service skills
Familiarity with Visual Eyes software
