The Role



The HR and Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating HR administrative duties and assist in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and supports a variety of HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, recruitment and selection, amongst other administrative tasks.

In This Role, You Will:



Administer group benefit programs, including health, dental, life insurance, long term disability and retirement savings plans. Manage employee enrollments, changes and terminations of benefits, and ensure the payroll systems have been updated accordingly. Initiate onboarding for new hires within ADP and sending welcome emails to new hires. Coordinate with new hires to ensure all documentation received is completed accurately and field all questions regarding payroll. Assist Payroll Specialist with processing company payrolls on a biweekly basis Conduct orientations for all new employees Maintain and update Employee Handbook; annually Respond to any employee inquiries regarding HR policies, employment verification letters, benefits, and leaves Conduct recruitment process for all construction employees Maintain and update confidential employee files and records Ensure secure handling, storage, and access of sensitive HR documents such as performance reviews, disciplinary records, and employe contracts Act as a backup for the payroll specialist, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, addressing payroll-related issues, and maintaining payroll system data Collaborate across departments to ensure continuity of HR and Payroll services during leadership absences Other administrative duties (i.e. swag inventory, vehicles, and vehicle insurance renewals)

What You Bring:



Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field 1-2 years of HR and/or payroll administration Experience with HRIS/payroll platforms (specifically ADP Workforce Now) is considered a strong asset Familiarity of legislation and HR best practises Exercise the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality of all company, client and employee information Handle sensitive data in compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
