Trinity Village Care Centre is home to 150 residents and currently has an opening for a Temporary Full Time Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have some experience with scheduling (i.e. calling employees to fill vacant shifts).
The Receptionist is responsible for demonstrating a professional and positive impression when greeting residents, staff, and visitors, ensuring that daily staffing vacancies are filled according to policies and procedures and that the reception area runs smoothly and efficiently with effective use of organizational, scheduling and administrative skills.
This is a temporary, full-time position which will be approximately 18 months in duration. Schedule will be 8-4 and include working every other weekend.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Professionally greeting and directing residents, staff, and visitors in a positive, courteous manner
Answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate resources
Accurately records employee sick calls/absences, Data entry, Petty Cash, and staff scheduling and reports discrepancies to HR
Assists in the coordination of bookings, catering, outings and tours
Administers courier services and incoming/outgoing mail
Filing, photocopying and general reception area housekeeping
Assisting with general questions, paperwork and other duties as assigned
Sets measurable goals aligned with departmental goals and consistently strives to meet targets and deadlines.
Maintain established departmental and organizational policies and procedures regarding such things as continuous quality improvement, emergency protocol, occupational health and safety
Collaboratively support receptionist team and provide back up to cover off receptionist absences as required.
Complete and sign off admission packages for new admissions
Prepare weekly PSW assignment sheets to distribute to the floors
Prepare monthly audit forms and distribute to the floors
Maintain bulletin boards on the information highway
Perform any clerical duties as assigned by management
Trinity Village Care Centre requires all new hires to submit proof of negative 2-Step TB test, mandatory proof of flu shot, and Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
