Job Description

Baker Tilly Victoria is one of the largest locally owned and operated accounting firms in Victoria. With over 60 staff members and three locations, Uptown, Sidney and Westshore, Baker Tilly can offer clients a wide range of business advisory, auditing, accounting and Canadian/US tax planning and compliance services.



We are seeking a motivated Receptionist to join the administrative team in Sidney, BC. The Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a positive first impression for clients and other visitors.

Primary d

uties

:


Answering calls and assisting with in-person client inquiries. Responding to general emails and forwarding inquiries appropriately. Distributing the office mail and arranging daily couriers. Scheduling client meeting and managing various calendars. Process client payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate payment records.

Other duties:




Assembly of various tax return packages, and electronic filing of corporate tax returns Support accounting staff with miscellaneous tasks and projects as needed

Skills and attributes:




The ability to communicate with external and internal stakeholders in a professional manner. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion Great organizational and time managements skills to meet deadlines. Experience or the desire to work in a team-based environment. Comfortable working with various personalities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience:




1 - 2 years reception or administrative experience Prior work experience in customer facing role Minimum education: Highschool or equivalency; Administrative or office management training a plus.



Pay:

$47,500 - $50,000/year


Vacation:

3 weeks to start


Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm; one hour unpaid lunch. Small adjustments are made in March/April (8am-5pm) and July/August (8:30am-4:30pm). Overtime required in March and April
