Job Description

Responsibilities:



The responsibility of the Receiver is to ensure accurate and timely shipping of customer orders and all other outbound shipments

Responsibilities Include:



Sign for and unload all shipments Prioritize and accurately process incoming shipments based on demand for the product in question Maintain a clean and safe work area Put away new inventory correctly and neatly in the designated area. A strong emphasis on keeping the inventory tidy is expected Perform all data entry functions required to process all incoming material and processing of backordered goods Establish & maintain a courteous relationship with all carriers Print PO's Prioritize all purchase orders Ensure quality inspection of all goods (quantities & descriptions) to purchase order and vendor packing slip Create discrepancy report for all orders with damages, short/over shipments and incorrect goods Record all tractability numbers (MFG only Deliver all MFG products to the appropriate production departments Arrange all documentation Maintain control and neatness of work area at all times Remain in constant contact with production, purchasing, QA dept Communicate all problems with orders to appropriate staff Ensure continual update to supervisor re: items on hold Ensure all receiving deadlines with purchase orders are met Ensure maintenance is completed on the forklift Handle inquiries relating to purchase order discrepancies, follow-up and resolve Take responsibility for receiving practices and procedures Ensure a safe work environment

Quality:



Work in accordance with the Company Quality System (Quality Policy and Quality Procedures) to meet customer requirements and eliminate non-conforming products and services.

II. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



High School Diploma 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced distribution environment Basic knowledge of Windows applications Demonstrate good verbal/written communication, organizational skill and flexibility in dealing with a variety of tasks Must be comfortable using manual and power tools Detail oriented Forklift license required (will train) Safety aware Must be in good physical condition and able to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work overtime as needed with little or no advance notice

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
