: RECE/Before and After School ProgramJob description:
RECE staff will be responsible for the delivery of a program based on Ontario's Pedagogy for the early years 'How Does Learning Happen?' for children age 4 -12 years old following the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA).
Desired Minimum Knowledge, Education and Experience
Early Childhood Educator Diploma, Child and Youth Care Diploma, Teacher Education Certification and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in emergent programming and documentation
A strong knowledge of child development
Working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act
Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen
Process initiative, organizational and teamwork skills
Standard First Aid and CPR
Bilingualism (French and English) an asset
Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Work Conditions, Salary and Benefits
Expected hours: 20 - 30 hours per week
Must be able to do the
split shift (7:15 am - 9:00 am and 2:45 pm - 5:30 pm)
May be required to work additional hours
Salary: $19-21/hr
