Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RECE to join our team as a support staff at Bayview Gardens Child Care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages, supporting their development, and ensuring their well-being while fostering their social, emotional, and educational growth.

Duties

Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Provide a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring their health and safety at all times. Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, feeding, diapering, and nap times. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Implement educational activities that support early childhood education principles. Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive childcare experience. Maintain accurate records of children's activities, progress, and any incidents that occur. Adapt activities to meet the needs of children with disabilities or special education requirements. Foster positive relationships with children by demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Time management abilities to ensure timely completion of daily activities. Leadership qualities to guide children in group settings. Familiarity with computer operation for record keeping and communication purposes. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is an advantage. A background in teaching or classroom experience is beneficial.
