Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our educational childcare centre. Our new centre is to open by September 2026. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children at all levels. This role involves hiring and managing staff, new centre set up ensuring a safe and engaging environment, and supporting the development of children through effective supervision and organizational skills.

Duties

Supervise and support staff, including educators, cleaner, and cook Coordinate daily classroom activities and ensure adherence to curriculum standards, knowledge in How does learning happen?, Pedagogy Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes learning and development Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations Communicate effectively with parents, fellow educators Manage schedules, attendance, and record-keeping using computer operation skills Provide guidance on special education needs and work with children with disabilities Assist in training new staff members and conducting performance evaluations Maintain organized documentation related to classroom activities, incidents, and progress reports

Skills

Proficiency in English Experience working with children, including those with special needs or disabilities Strong leadership qualities with excellent organizational skills Effective communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members Classroom experience or early childhood education background preferred Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively Skilled in computer operation, including basic office software for record keeping and communication Writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes Compassionate approach to working with diverse populations, including children with special needs
