Cathy Wever Elementary School, 160 Wentworth ST. N

Total Weekly Hours:

20.25 hours per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm

Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants):

$27.94/hr

Who We're Looking For

Qualifications:



Minimum

1-year experience

working directly with children or in a childcare setting. Diploma in

Early Childhood Education (ECE)


Certifications:



Standard First Aid with CPR Level C

Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Proof of

up-to-date immunizations

(TB, Tetanus, MMR) Proof of

COVID-19 vaccinations


Skills & Knowledge:



Familiarity with

How Does Learning Happen?

(an asset) Strong understanding of

child development

and age-appropriate activities. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement activities to support children's

cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development

. Ensure the

safety and well-being

of children at all times. Maintain an

engaging and welcoming environment

for children and families. Complete documentation and meet Ministry of Education requirements. Collaborate with

Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty

.
