We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist lawyers in various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and well-prepared. This role requires strong organization skills, proficiency in legal drafting, and the ability to manage multiple files efficiently. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
Prepare residential and commercial real estate files from opening to closing.
Process purchase transactions, prepare mortgages, refinancing and supplemental documents, prepare interim/final reports to parties.
Prepare statement of adjustments, report to mortgagee and purchaser in a timely manner.
Prepare sale transactions, trust letters, deposit funds to meet closing dates.
Prepare client accounts.
Communicate with realtors, financial institutions, clients and other law firms regarding all aspects of real estate transactions.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Real Estate Paralegal or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in legal drafting and proofreading to ensure accuracy in documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Attention to detail is essential for maintaining high-quality work standards.
Positive work ethic and attitude and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
A degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred but not required.
