Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills and a solid understanding of real estate law including but not limited to refinance, purchase, sale, and commercial files. The role requires excellent communication, and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of Ontario real estate law, land registration systems, and municipal regulations.

Responsibilities

Review purchase and sale agreements, mortgage documents, charges, transfers, pin pages, property insurance binders, clients ID's and more. Conduct due diligence, including title searches, off-title searches, and reviewing zoning and planning issues. Handle closings for residential and commercial real estate transactions. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Utilize tools such as Lawyer Done Deal, and Teraview for legal research and data analysis to support investment decisions. Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and municipal officials. Maintain client confidentiality and act in the client's best interests at all times.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited Canadian law school. Member in good standing with the

Law Society of Ontario (LSO)

. Minimum [1] year of experience practicing real estate law in Ontario. Proficiency with Teraview, and LawyerDoneDeal. Strong knowledge of the

Land Titles Act

,

Registry Act

,

Planning Act

, and other relevant Ontario legislation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
