Position Summary

Ww are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Research and Development team. You will work closely with the Mechanical Engineer to design, test and improve our products. Your role will be to support R&D and production activities, carry out tests of all kinds, analyze data and contribute to the development of new mechanical, electrical, aesthetic and other solutions.

Responsibilities

Assist the mechanical engineer in product design and development. Participate in mechanical, electrical and production tests and experiments. Analyze results and suggest improvements. Collaborate with the team to solve technical problems. Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of products and production. Ensure proper operation of equipment in the laboratory. Analyze causes of breakdowns during test stoppages.

Manufacturing:

In charge of manufacturing certain prototype parts. Assemble prototypes for validation. Modification of existing parts for prototypes and production. Repair or modification of laboratory stations.

Mindset, Skills & Education

Degree in mechanical engineering or similar experience. Previous R&D experience (an asset). Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, etc.) (an asset). Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. Ability to use tools of all kinds.
