- Opportunities to work on challenging projects within a growing company!Your daily roleIn collaboration with the various internal (Marketing, Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, etc.) and external services, and as a project manager, you plan and supervise the activities necessary for carrying out R&D projects ( packaging, processes or products) in connection with existing products or in support of the development and industrialization of new products or packaging.THE ROLE:
- Participate in the feasibility assessment of requests for new products/packaging;
- Ensure the updating of technical packaging data;
- Coordinate industrial tests for optimization, standardization and performance validation of new packaging;
- Participate in resolving technical problems with internal and external resources (suppliers, external experts);
- Analyze and evaluate products (internal or competitive products);
- Participate in the industrialization of prototypes;
- Monitor first productions;
- Write specifications for new products;
- Writing technical documents/project documentation;
- Participate in technological monitoring;
- Carry out tests to characterize ingredients or processes;
- Improve the internal procedures of the R&D department;
- May be involved in coordinating laboratory activities with Development Agents and R&D Employees based on established priorities;
- Presentation of prototypes (Marketing, Sales, customers, etc.).Your profile- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the food industry (packaging an asset;
- DEC in food process and quality technology (ITA, Dietetics) or technical training in relevant fields;
- Knowledge of the industrial food processing environment;
- Knowledge of food and/or materials chemistry;
- Ease of working in a project team;
- Experience in managing packaging development projects/technical support is an asset;
- Excellent command of French and functional English required for interactions across the company (Canada/US);
