Tank Traders is looking for talented welders to join our Research & Development team in La Salle, Manitoba!

We are seeking welders for our R&D team who enjoys tinkering, experimental work, providing solutions, and is adaptable to change. The successful candidate will be working with our Research and Development department to create and implement propane industry specific machinery and equipment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Welding & Fabrication:*Bring custom machinery designs to life using your welding expertise. MIG, TIG, and pulse welding experience with Aluminium is considered a strong asset.
Prototype Equipment Assembly:Assemble and test new tank processing equipment and production solutions across our facilities. Metalworking Skills:Bend, notch, punch, and straighten sheet metal, primarily aluminum and steel, using both manual and powered tools. Blueprint Reading:Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, offering suggestions for improvements and design enhancements. Creative Solutions:Be a hands-on problem-solver who contributes to the design and development process with practical feedback and innovative thinking.

Strong Attention to Detail- You take pride in producing clean, precise, and functional welds and fabrications. Adaptability- You enjoy variety, shifting priorities, and one-off builds that challenge your creativity. Team Player Attitude- You work well with others and are comfortable collaborating across departments. Red Seal Welding/CWB Tickets (Asset)- Certification is considered a strong asset but not required. We welcome skilled fabricators with or without tickets.
