About the role

In our Research & Development Engineering Department, our Engineers focus on the ideation, design, prototyping, and manufacturing transfer of cutting-edge devices for use in medical procedures. Our R&D Engineers are directly involved with obtaining regulatory approval and patents as well as actively participating in clinical research studies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • You will assist in the design and development of cutting-edge medical devices through prototyping, testing, and 3D modeling.
  • You will create and conduct verification and validation testing to validate design requirements and concepts.
  • You will assist with regulatory filings to various government bodies alongside our IP and Regulatory Affairs teams.
  • You will aid in the development and provision of technical documentation by preparing drawings, writing work instructions, and presenting technical insights.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring safety practices and ensuring ISO 13485 and FDA compliance while collaborating with cross functional teams to meet product timelines.
  • You will aid in maintaining technical support of regulatory activities, quality compliances, supplier changes, and cross-functional support for the currently marketed products.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
  • Other duties as required.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering required
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Minitab
  • Knowledge of the design requirements as per 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485
  • Experience with drafting and maintaining DHF and DMR documentations
  • Experience with leading rapid design iteration and making design recommendations
  • Ability to independently develop and adapt work plans based on vague or changing project goals
  • Strong hypothesis-driven experimental design and statistical analysis skills
  • Candidates should be self-starters and have a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work independently and within a diverse group of Engineers and Production staff
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written) and demonstrated leadership skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred
  • Related experience in medical device industry
  • Experience with catheter devices development
