As a Railway Station Security Guard , there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a Rail environment.

Responsibilities for Railway Station Security Guard

Greet and welcome passengers, verify their identity, and offer guidance as needed, both in person and over the phone. Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols using the G-Track device to deter threats and ensure overall site security. Perform routine checks on all security equipment and report any maintenance or functionality issues promptly. Respond quickly to incidents, administer first aid when necessary, and coordinate with emergency response teams. Check all doors to ensure they are secure and not tampered with or jimmied to prevent unauthorized access. Document all incidents and observations in detailed reports and communicate any security concerns to the appropriate personnel. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems for any suspicious activity or breaches. Act as a visible deterrent to vagrancy, vandalism, and loitering by maintaining high visibility, especially in vulnerable areas. Promote and uphold a secure and safe working environment for all staff, visitors, and clients. Carry out other related tasks as assigned to support the overall safety and operational goals of the site.

Qualifications for Railway Station Security Guard

Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid Manitoba security license First aid certification an asset Exceptional customer service skills Proficient in basic phone & computer skills Previous experience in the Security industry is an asset Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to work Evening and Night shifts Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Must be available to Mandatory trainings
