Radio Software strives to be the most driven Radio Network R&D unit in the industry. We work in an agile setup to develop and maintain competitive, high quality Radio products which give our customers solutions securing future growth. We develop 5G, LTE, WCDMA, GSM and CDMA Network solutions to operators all over the world. PDU Radio Indoor sector is located in Ottawa and is a cross-functional organization with end to end product responsibility.
Radio software is part of Product Development Unit (PDU) Radio, within Development Unit Networks. Radio SW provides the possibility to work with the newest technology within telecommunication development and offers a rich number of opportunities in an everyday learning, creative and exciting atmosphere.
We are seeking a Radio Software Developer who will be working in a cross-functional team to develop radio features and functions. The candidate is someone who is passionate about design quality and self-driven to ensure best-practices are adopted.
You will

• Be part of our product development
• Embedded Software Development , and test Radio Software
• Work both with SW and HW development teams and sometimes drive the work to seek issues
• Be a member of an Agile development team and work closely with software development teams to develop towards a common goal
• Actively participate in retrospectives and other activities to evaluate and improve team flow

We want you to contribute with competence in most of the following areas

• Experience with C++/Java development
• Multi-functional design and verification
• Design verification and functional verification on system level
• Familiar with Jenkins, GIT, Eclipse
• Working with Agile/Lean methods
• Team work & good communication and collaboration skills
• Basic understanding of Radio HW
• Software system design, Architecture principles
• Interest in working with Radio Products and Radio
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

To be successful in the role, you must have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
• Programming proficiency in C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, and shell scripts
• Working knowledge of source control and build management tools (e.g. Git, Gerrit, Jenkins)
• Experience in applying the Agile software development methodology
• Experience with using Linux as a development environment
• Developed software for Linux embedded targets and for real-time operating system environments (VxWorks, OSE, MQX, etc.)
• Interpersonal skills: Independent, self-starter, team player who is organized, detail oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment
