JOB INFO As the Radial Boom Digger (RBD) Operator you are expected to be engaged in our safety program, executing work in a safe manner, in adherence with CANA policies and all applicable code regulations and the Act.

• This position entails physically demanding motions and tasks
• The work requires commuting to different high traffic sites in and around the Calgary area as well as delivering material to various work locations across Alberta
• With projects across Western Canada, travel and shift work may be required
• CANA Energy operates year-round and outdoors in all types of terrain and environments

YOU WILL

• Operate company equipment with care and diligence including minor maintenance
• Be able and willing to operate other pieces of equipment as required
• Transport equipment and material using a truck and trailer
  Operate radial boom diggers near various energized high voltage lines up to 25kv
• Instruct and train inexperienced personnel in the safe operation of trucks, equipment, and the transportation of loads
• Perform Pre use inspections on equipment and report any required repairs/issues

YOU WILL NEED

• Class 1 or Class 3 with air brake endorsement driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with clean abstract and reliable transportation to commute to various job sites
• A successful Pre-Employment Assessment that includes screening for Drug & Alcohol and the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
• Previous experience setting and removing wood poles
• Knowledge of all types of machinery (hauling, loading, securing)
• Experience operating Radial Doom Diggers and digging with auger

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of the construction and maintenance of overhead, underground powerline installations
• Previous experience installing different types of streetlight davits
  Ability to operate various heavy and tracked construction equipment and all terrain equipment as required
• Previous experience or knowledge of MS Office programs and comfortable using computers
