Job Description

We are looking for a receptionist who can work evening shifts Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays (4-9:30pm). Shifts and coverage opens quite frequently therefore we are looking for someone who is looking for part time work with the intention of working more hours.Duties & Responsibilities of Racquet Office Receptionist Answer all incoming calls and direct to the proper area in the Club or assist the caller with the inquiry. Desk reception - greets members and guests, monitor the front/side door for security purposes, confirm that guests are registered in the correct books if applicable. Arrange for courier services Accept and direct incoming deliveries. Update the Function Board on a daily basis. When required, register card room guests, informing them of Club rules and policies. Keep the "In-basket" up to date, assisting in such tasks as typing invoices, menus, meeting agendas etc. Enforce the rules and by-laws of the Club, specifically the guest & junior tennis hours, cell phone rules and dress code. Issue and cancel lockers as required.Duties & Responsibilities Continued; Record all reservations for Club events, keep the function book updated as required, confirm reservations as required and informing the Food and Beverage Manager of all reservation changes. Book courts when necessary. Record Dining Room reservations, and ensure that serving staff are aware of any last minute changes. Chit Members for all purchases made at the racquet office, i.e. tennis balls, guest fees, pool rentals & purchases...etc. Accept member payments when required. Assist in all Club mail outs. Communicate with the Front Desk staff via the log book to ensure they are kept current with what is happening at both the Front Desk and Racquet Office in the Club. Assist all departments as needed. Assist in the training of new desk staff when required. Assist with creating Club event advertising posters and memos.Part-time hours: 16-32 per weekJob Types: Part-time, PermanentJob Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 8-27 per weekSalary: $16.00-$20.00 per hourSchedule:

  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • Front desk: 1 year (required)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
