:MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:As required/directed:

• Maintain cleanliness of the paddock entrance and area
• Care and control of numbered bibs
• Hang required head numbers and stall number boards in paddock
• Clean and care for Association tack
• Provide support to other runner positions, as required
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES:

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Experience working with and around horses
• Knowledge of operations & regulations pertaining to thoroughbred horse racing an asset
• Good interpersonal and organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively without direct supervision; honesty / reliability
• Must successfully pass a criminal and credit record check by the Gaming and Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) - Racing
• A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests in the continual quest of achieving service excellence
