Role Purpose: Supports manufacturing by maintaining quality system support. Ensures that effective quality assurance policies, procedures and systems are implemented, maintained and refined Responsibilities:
  • Assist the line supervisors and engineers in identifying problems.
  • Perform daily lab testing (ILDs) based on customer specifications
  • Prepare and publish various performance and test reports
  • Perform equipment inspection and calibration/verification as required
  • Assist in identifying and solving production quality problems
  • Aid in the investigation and resolution of Supplier and Customer concerns
  • Ensure use of current Quality System forms for documentation of day-to-day activities.
  • Support Quality System employment including Internal / External / layered audits as requested.
  • Support Team Leaders, Quality engineer, and Quality Manager as requested
  • Be actively involved in Kaizen events when requested.
Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in an Engineering degree program, or a recent graduate
  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance, preferably Automotive
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret control charts. Working knowledge of Trigonometry fraction, Algebra and Shop applications.
  • Proficiency in personal computer operations using Microsoft Office software. Gage Trak Software and others as requested.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Must have excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months Salary: $22.55 per hour Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
  • Overtime pay

  • Vaughan, ON L4L 2A4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
