Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Quality Systems Manager is responsible for leading and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement initiatives. They will document, analyze, improve, and report on product and system non-conformances and customer issues.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Lead and manage the QMSs ensuring compliance with the current standards. Lead and manage internal and external QMS audits. Document, analyze, improve and report on Customer Issues (CI's), Non-conformances (NCR's), and Return of Goods (RGA) processes, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement, and leading issue resolution. Lead and manage Product Certification Programs such as FloorScore, Greengard and Cradle2Cradle. Communicate with Department managers on continuous quality improvement initiatives related to departmental and company objectives. Employ analytical tools, such as root cause analysis, to resolve quality issues and deliver corrective and preventive actions. Establish and update (where required) manufacturing procedures in conjunction with the production staff for new or existing products. Draft reports for customers related to issue resolution, corrective actions, etc. Lead and manage communications and compliance with 3rd party certification bodies such as UL and FM and support onsite inspections and adherence to product compliance

POSITION REQUIRMENTS:

University or College education in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, AND Minimum ten (10) years Quality Assurance experience (5 years of which is as a Supervisor/Manager). Ability to interact and work with others in a productive and professional manner. Strong written and oral communication skills. Confident and self-directed with a commitment to meet deadlines, take initiative and solve problems consistently.
