Responsible for ensuring that all Quality Management and Manufacturing systems, documentation, products, processes, test methods and company systems are in compliance with ISO/IATF and customer prescribed requirements. Management, co-ordination and supervision of company-wide Quality functions and be the primary customer and supplier contact on quality issues

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Quality Management and manufacturing systems, documentation, products, processes, test methods and company systems are in compliance with both the ISO 9001 and IATF-16949 Quality Systems including preparing and revising quality documentation. (i.e. Quality Manuals, procedures, forms and others.)
  • Responsible for coordination, preparation of Advanced Quality Planning and Pre-Production Approval Part (PPAP) submissions. Manage and maintain all documentation in this regard including customer approval and record maintenance as required
  • Provides QA support and cross-functional coordination for new product development activities, materials qualification procedures, project teams, continuous improvement, benchmarking, performance measurement, customer satisfaction and solutions implementation
  • Responsible for overall management of the metrology/calibration program and measuring and testing equipment certification and maintenance. (This includes supervising, coordinating and maintaining the in-house metrology and calibration programs.)
  • Responsible for the preparation of quality, control inspection and testing plans when necessary. Also, apply and analyze statistical techniques and control charts; perform machine capability studies
  • Responsible for providing professional development and quality training to Q.A. Staff as well as quality training on the Quality Management System, to all new staff and review with employees as required
  • Responsible for Internal quality audit program
  • Responsible to coordinate and perform internal quality audits according to an established and scheduled internal audit program
  • Responsible for the coordination and performance of the external compliance certification audits as required. Acts as primary contact for external quality certification audits, customer complaints and customer and supplier quality issues
  • Responsible for the coordination, preparation and responding to customer and corporate Environmental Sustainability and Governance related requests
  • Responsible for managing all quality related issues with customers and vendors, including identification, coordination, supervision and investigation of Corrective Actions, Preventative actions, non-conformances, rejects and continuous improvement activities. Ensures documentation, response, implementation and closure to these items
  • Responsible for the surveillance of customer satisfaction from key customers on an annual basis and benchmarking these trends on an annual basis
  • Prepare and Analyze Monthly KPI metrics (eg. Internal Scrap, Customer Complaints, External Defect Rates, etc.)
  • Coordination of Ongoing Supplier Evaluation Program
  • Responsible for review and disposition of non-conforming product
Qualifications:
  • Required - Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Quality Management and/or Engineering
  • Preferred - Undergraduate degree; training and experience in Internal Quality Audits
  • ASQ Certification (CQM, CQE, CQA, CQT) or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of employment
  • Preferred - 5 to10 years experience and proven ability in Quality Management in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry (Tier I or Tier II)
  • Experience within electronics or injection molding industry is an asset
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, team building and mentoring skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO/IATF-16949 and related quality standards
  • Ability to prepare and co-ordinate APQP, PPAP, FMEA Control Plans, MSA & SPC
  • Process/machine capability studies, quality documentation and statistical analysis
  • CQM Level of math or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in operating basic electrical testing equipment and measuring devices
  • Excellent oral and written English communication
