Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the quality systems and process control strategy for all site processes. They will lead efforts to analyze and reduce process variation, develop preventative measures, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Additionally, they will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, Research and Development, Product Management, and other key functional areas to achieve key organizational objectives, with a focus on quality and process control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the quality assurance function in the plant.
Leading the development and implementation of the plant's quality management system to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Proactively plan, control, and ensure product and process quality in accordance with established quality principles to eliminate potential sources of failure. This includes planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure quality standards are incorporated into new products and processes so that production performance and yield meet required standards.
Lead the change management process within the plant to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks associated with planned changes.
Define and oversee audits of raw materials, products, and processes to ensure finished products meet specified requirements at the time of manufacture and prior to shipment.
Manage the development, maintenance, and compliance of local standard work documentation, such as quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
Oversee or implement the development of measurement tools for product and process evaluation including calibration.
Drive continuous improvement in quality focused KPIs (claims, scrap, rework, etc.) using WCM tools and techniques.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
Degree or certification in quality control with 2-5 years of relevant experience
Excellent organizational, project management, multitasking, and prioritization skillsExperience developing and maintaining quality assurance programs (ISO 9001) and work instructions
Innovative and creative problem-solving using root cause analysis techniques
Experience with the audit process: planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up
Previous experience in the PVC extrusion industry is an asset
