Boundary Electric is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Quality & Project Manager to join our team!!!

The Quality & Project Manager is responsible for overseeing Boundary Electric's international quality control operations and managing overseas manufacturing projects.

This role requires fluency in Mandarin and a willingness to travel internationally for up to six months per year

. The successful candidate will plan, execute, and finalize projects while ensuring that products meet Boundary Electric's high standards for quality and compliance.

This is a leadership role, responsible for developing and managing our QC team abroad, collaborating with manufacturing partners, and serving as the main communication link between overseas operations and senior management in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives and senior management direction.

o Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, specific to electrical production and manufacturing.

o Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, production, and quality assurance) to ensure success.

o Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope.

o Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management.

o Foster a collaborative and positive team environment across global operations.

Quality Management & Oversight

o Lead, train, and oversee the team of QC inspectors in Asia to ensure adherence to company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

o Compile and present detailed reports on inspection findings, vendor quality performance, and manufacturing status.

o Track and report on transformer production and transit status to ensure full visibility across the supply chain.

o Conduct and review inspections, ensuring all factory acceptance testing and quality activities are directly overseen by Boundary Electric personnel.

o Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

o Act as the primary liaison for quality-related communications between overseas operations and senior management in Canada.

o Push back on non-conforming work and advocate for Boundary Electric's quality standards with vendors and suppliers.

Qualifications:

Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) required.

Experience in project management within a manufacturing or electrical production environment is an asset.

Strong background in quality assurance/quality control practices, preferably in transformers, electrical equipment, or heavy manufacturing.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and developing international or cross-cultural teams.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability and willingness to travel internationally for extended periods (primarily Asia).

Able to work full-time.
