The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes. This role involves working closely with Operations to integrate quality assurance within production, continuously enhancing quality control processes, and addressing customer and regulatory concerns. The Quality Manager will manage and develop the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, track production and quality KPIs, and lead efforts to minimize defects and optimize production efficiency.
Oversee QA/QC aspects, ensuring integration of quality assurance within production and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and metrics for powder coating processes.
Address customer concerns, quality issues, and regulatory requests, while managing technical service projects from a QA/QC perspective.
Track and analyze production and quality KPIs, implementing improvements in cost analysis, production time reduction, and overall quality.
Manage and develop the QA/QC program, including calibration equipment maintenance and adherence to quality standards.
Communicate quality results in routine management meetings and oversee the SR&ED program.
Maintain expertise in statistical processes and QA/QC best practices, providing internal education as needed.
Investigate root causes of quality issues, develop effective solutions, and implement preventive measures.
Conduct routine quality inspections and manage documentation to ensure efficient data retrieval and adherence to standards.
Communicate with third parties (consultants, vendors, suppliers) and internal teams regarding Quality/ISO/Environmental/Safety activities.
Ensure processes meet safety and quality standards, aiming to reduce scrap, safety incidents, and production downtime.
Update Quality boards monthly, research industry standards, and innovations.
Conduct and ensure up-to-date employee training (WHMIS) and enforce health and safety policies, including the use of PPE.
Maintain plant and equipment cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for management and audits.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to enhance processes and reduce defects.
Train and mentor staff on quality procedures and improvements.
College or University degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology, Operations, Quality Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years managing an ISO 9001 Quality Management System and high-volume manufacturing, including experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software.
Experience in processes and procedures related to powder coating.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, QMZ, AAMA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
Strong data analysis and computer skills.
In-depth understanding of Quality Management principles.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
