As Project Quality Manager, you will be responsible for activities associated with quality assurance, accuracy control, interface management, vendor surveillance, coordination of factory acceptance testing (FAT), and project quality dossier management. This role ensures compliance with the relevant international industry standards, coordinates across departments, and manages supplier quality to ensure materials and equipment meet shipbuilding project specifications. More specifically, you will:
Develop and manage a project quality plan (ISO standard).
Develop and manage the ITP with all stakeholders.
Direct supervision of the dimensional control plan at every construction steps.
Ensure compliance with contractual and classification society requirements.
Define quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting protocols.
Conduct audits at various production stages, including welding, assembly, outfitting, and final testing.
Manage product-related non-conformity from the reporting to the resolution.
Serve as the primary liaison between for all project functions for quality-related topics.
Interface with naval authorities, classification societies, and external auditors during quality inspections, audits and to resolve quality issues and align on expectations.
Lead and support non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional inspections, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
Support the preparation of final quality documents (OQE) and certification packages required for vessel delivery.
Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure quality requirements are met before materials reach the shipyard.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
Provide training on quality procedures, measurement techniques, and regulatory compliance.
