Quality Lab Technician

Job Description

This position approves batches made by Operating Technicians Manufacturing, recommends adjustments when needed, and provides updates to production on batch status. Other duties involve monitoring inventory of lab supplies, and ensuring the manager is informed of material requirements. The Lab Technicians are required to participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Three (3) Rotating Eight (8) Hour Shift Schedule - 2 Weeks per Shift - Days (7:00 AM. to 3:00 PM), Afternoons (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) and Nights (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).


Afternoon Shift Premium of $ 0.50 per hour and Night Shift Premium of $ 0.75 per hour.

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Batch approval. Assures that all tests are completed, and results meet all specifications before going to the next production process Tests bulk raw materials as required by the raw material specification sheet. Follows all standard technical procedures and exercises good judgment and initiatives. Able to accomplish assigned work with little supervision. Utilizes appropriate computer systems to ensure effective testing of products. Places non-conforming material and distressed batches on hold as needed. Maintains inventory of lab supplies, stocks them when received, and requests them when we are low. Maintains Lab housekeeping and cleans all test equipment. Complete routine calibration of various testing equipment. Investigate and update PQRs where needed. Other duties as requested by their supervisor. Must adhere to all safety requirements in the facility and participate actively in SMART initiatives. Identify and communicate product issues to other departments as needed. May assist in training of other lab techs as needed.

Minimum Requirements



Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment

Preferred Qualifications



Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a quality control laboratory Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility * Have an Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry
