Job Description

Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:

1. Primary Responsibility: Completing daily parts inspections for:

a. Customer (100% verification) - dimensional and visual inspections

b. Customer (blue tag) containment parts inspections to verify compliance to drawings - dimensional and visual inspections

c. Other customer parts identified as requiring inspection based on past history

Note: The inspector must have proven experience in:

a) Blue print reading

b) Inspection experience using calipers, and other measurement tools

c) Good analytical thinking

2. Review Product NCRs generated internally:

a. Review NCRs delivered to QC and investigate location, issues and verify quantities

b. Ensure NCRs (recuts) are forwarded to Work Order Processor as required

3. Work with QC Manager and Quality Lead as required to identify inspection needs based on:

a. Internal NCRs

b. Customer complaints and returns

4. First article Inspections:

a. Work with QC Lead to verify dimensions, record results and complete paperwork as required

b. Organize and distribute completed inspection parts to next department as required

c. Generate NCRs as required for any failed part

Backup role for as required

1. First article parts inspection verification

2. Inspection of incoming OSV products as required (signed inspections)

3. Processing of Internal NCRs as required to ensure that re-cut orders are being processed

Position requirements:

1. Experience with measuring tools (tape measures, Calipers, protractors)

2. Strong mathematical and analytical skills

3. Able to read and interpret blue prints and customer drawings as required for inspections

4. Competent in basic computer skills (word, excel)

5. Understanding of basic manufacturing process (brake, welding, paint) - able to interpret drawings for welding and press brake dimensional checks

6. Ability to work with other personnel to resolve quality issues

7. Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour
