Position Summary:



Reporting to the Executive Director, Quality Improvement and Risk Management Lead works collaboratively with the directors, managers, and employees at Kristus Darzs Latvian Home. Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality improvement initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of resident care and quality of life. Leading Quality Improvement Team meetings, coordinating the overall Quality and Risk Management Program, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality and process improvement, and a passion for delivering high-quality care to seniors with a focus and emphasis on safety and health outcomes. The candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in a health related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the area of Continuous Quality Improvement including theory and application. Minimum 3 Years Long Term Care experience. Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Sound knowledge of Long-Term Care programs and regulatory requirements under FLTCA and O. Reg. 246/22 Completed studies/training in Quality and Risk Management Proven ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams. Superior knowledge of software programs including demonstrated efficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and familiarity with other software as required from time to time. Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and committees

Key Responsibilities:



1. Quality Improvement Planning:



Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Improvement Plan aligned with regulatory standards and best practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and establish measurable goals. Coordinate the annual satisfaction survey for residents and families.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:



Analyze data related to clinical outcomes, resident satisfaction, and other relevant metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and progress towards improvement goals.

3. Training and Education:



Provide training and education to staff on quality improvement methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the organization.

4. Process Improvement:



Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of care delivery processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor changes. Facilitate annual program evaluation process.

5. Risk Management:



Identify potential risks, assess their impact on organizational objectives, and develop robust strategies to effectively manage and mitigate them.

6. Compliance and Auditing:



Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to long-term care. Develop policies related to best practices, quality, risk, and all associated responsibilities. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
