Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. is currently searching for seasonal

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIANS.

Under the supervision of the QC Manager, the seasonal QC Technicians will perform a wide variety of tests primarily associated with road construction materials - aggregates, concrete, and asphalt products. The successful candidates will work closely with other QC Technicians and field crews to fulfil the needs of the business, working primarily from May to November each year. On the job training will be provided.

As a QC Tech, your duties include:

On-jobsite testing and sample collection

Distribution checks for asphalt & base operations

Concrete plastic and strength testing

Data collection and data entry into computerized programs

Daily travel to jobsites will be required

Laboratory testing on various materials

Your experience includes:

High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience

Construction or QC experience an asset

Requirements:

Must have a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License and use of a reliable vehicle to use for work, with comfort travelling and working outside of Winnipeg

Willing to work long hours, primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions

Able and willing to work overtime throughout the work week, including weekends, when necessary

Strong time management skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel

Physically capable of lifting up to 30kg

Capable of problem solving and decision making

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a strong team member

Mechanical knowledge is an asset

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
