Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Quality Control Technician to join our agricultural team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality standards by monitoring our quality assurance and food safety program within our Vegetable plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality management principles, processes, and quality assurance standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement within our production environment.

Responsibilities

Perform regular quality and grade checks on all products Perform weight checks on all products Perform diameter checks on onions Perform daily temperature and humidity checks Perform daily quality audits Collection of sister sampling of onions and potatoes Perform daily pre-operational inspections and monitor sanitation program Monitor and enforce our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Check cleaning schedules to ensure that tasks are being done and recorded Monitor the quality of all products Provide feedback to employees on any and all quality concerns Quality checks on all brokered product coming into the plant Maintain quality records and file paperwork Assist with grading and packing when necessary
Qualifications:

Knowledge of Food Safety and/or CanadaGAP standards Knowledge of vegetable grading procedures Team Player Self-motivated - works well with minimal supervision Good documentation skills Good communication skills Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.75 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
