Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team at Lovingly Made Ingredients. In this fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and food safety compliance. This position involves hands-on monitoring on the production floor, supporting research and quality control processes, and maintaining sanitation standards. You will be responsible for implementing GMP and BRC protocols, conducting routine inspections, performing basic laboratory tests, and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, communicates effectively with production teams, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Set up and perform biological and microbiological tests, including gluten analysis and surface ATP testing.
Conduct laboratory analyses such as density measurement, moisture determination, water activity assessment, and hydration-rate evaluation to support product development and quality control.
Conduct Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) monitoring and compliance activities to ensure proper handling of product inventories, raw materials, and equipment.
Maintain BRC standards across the site and support internal and external audits.
Carry out regular facility audits and proactively improve quality and hygiene processes.
Work on the production floor monitoring and controlling the quality of production.
Perform sampling, documentation, and provide quality analysis with feedback to production teams on parameters.
Prepare and record production documents accurately.
Analyze quality-control data using Excel and prepare daily extrusion performance reports to support process evaluation and continuous improvement.
Conduct or supervise operational programs--such as metal-detection monitoring--to prevent product contamination and ensure process integrity.
Maintain and account for product and raw material holds and disposals.
Support line trials and new product development.
Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and work instructions for routine quality inspections and evaluations.
Oversee root cause investigations and collaborate on corrective and preventive actions.
Review quality records for completion, accuracy, and adherence to internal specifications.
Provide necessary documentation or knowledge for internal and external audits.
Work with the team on proactively improving the quality department and production facility.

Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, related field or relevant experience.
1-3 years experience in food manufacturing, preferably in quality control.
HACCP or Food Safety certification (preferred).

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
