This role is responsible for ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements through documentation control, inspections, and process monitoring. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of food safety systems and works independently to maintain accurate and compliant quality records.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and complete HACCP documentation, sanitation records, temperature logs, and daily quality inspections
Verify that product labeling, weights, and packaging comply with
CFIA regulations
and company standards
Monitor hygiene practices and quality control standards throughout all stages of production
Conduct routine inspections of processing areas, equipment, and finished products
Identify non-conformances and report findings to management
Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and corrective action processes
Ensure proper documentation filing and record retention
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Background in
food safety, quality assurance, or related field
preferred
Experience with HACCP programs and food manufacturing documentation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
Ability to work independently and manage documentation responsibilities
Knowledge of CFIA regulations is a strong asset
Good organizational and communication skills
