Job Description

Delicious Without Gluten is a small but growing bakery manufacturing site located in the West Island. We bake gluten-free baked breads and sweets.

We are looking for a food safety/quality control manager.

We presently have an SQF certification and Gluten free certification which must be maintained and improved on.

Responsibilities:

Manage quality control and food safety activities of the production

Manage food safety program (review, improve, develop, and implement SOP for food safety and regulatory requirements)

Develop, manage all regulatory information, and maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents.

Annual program reassessments

Ensure controls are in place, non-compliance and corrective actions are documented

Responsible for maintaining and updating HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Programs when required and according to regulatory requirements to ensure compliance

Conduct necessary testing according to established food safety and quality program

Lead external audits (SQF)

Communicate with CFIA/FDA as required

Conduct trainings to employees

Act as a food safety/quality counsel

Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in food science or a combination of Education and experience may be considered

In dept knowledge of GMP/HACCP/SQF/FSMA/FDA

Food Safety Certification

Food Safety/Quality Control experience: 1-3 years

Rigorous, autonomous, adaptable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
