We are now hiring for a Quality Control Labourer to join our team for the

2025 Construction Season

in Northern Alberta! This position will require travel to various jobsites throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories areas to ensure the high quality work our customers are accustomed to continue to be achieved.

Key Responsibilities



Complete material sampling and testing at a standard that will satisfy contract requirements and ensure proper quality control. Onsite document control. Test road construction materials, such as asphalt, concreate, pavement and aggregate. Ensure compliance with testing standards. Mobile lab set-up and tear down. Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics. Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics. Other quality control related duties as required. Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others. Participate as a team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.

Qualifications | Requirements



High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred Class 5 Drivers License preferred Basic knowledge road construction materials and tools

Working Conditions



Weather dependent schedule with up to 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation. This position may be subject to night shift hours. Night shift premium is applicable in most situations. Out of town travel may be required. Accommodations and/or Live Out Allowance (LOA) is applicable in most situations. Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50LBS on a regular basis. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended. Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
