Quality Control Inspector - LNG Facility (Kitimat, BC)

About the Role:

BuLa Millwright Services is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team at the LNG facility in Kitimat, BC. The successful candidate will ensure that all installations, maintenance, and mechanical work meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role requires expertise in MC Plus and Jovex for tracking, documentation, and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections of mechanical installations, rotating equipment, and structural components to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Review work performed by millwrights, ensuring compliance with LNG facility requirements, codes, and best practices. Utilize MC Plus and Jovex for documentation, tracking, and quality assurance purposes. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to validate accuracy and compliance. Perform audits, generate reports, and maintain records of inspections. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and trade workers to resolve quality issues. Identify and document deficiencies, recommending corrective actions as needed. Adhere to WorkSafeBC regulations, site-specific safety requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Certified Quality Control Inspector (CWB, API, or equivalent preferred). Experience working in LNG facilities, heavy industrial sites, or similar environments. Proficiency with MC Plus and Jovex for quality tracking and reporting. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and installation procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of CSA, ASME, API, and other applicable codes and standards. Effective communication skills for interacting with contractors, engineers, and management. Safety-conscious mindset with commitment to quality and compliance. Millwright experience would be an asset.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work in Kitimat, BC Willingness to work in a remote, industrial setting with shift rotations. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a site-specific drug test.

Pay: $60.00-$90.00 per hour
