Foremost Industries has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Inspector, located at our facility in Calgary, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for performing in process and final quality inspections on all finished fabrication products. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with the Foremost quality assurance program through direct inspections and process audits
Reading and interpreting engineered drawings
Ensure correct material and parts identification
Carry out in-process inspection for welding, machining and assembly
Support assembly procedures to ensure compliance with Foremost standards
Document non-conformances and assist in the disposition and corrective action process
Prepare clear, comprehensive records and reports as required
Review documents to ensure conformance with established procedural requirements
Interact with all levels of manufacturing personnel, engineers and shop supervisors
Assess quality processes on an ongoing bases and recommend improvements
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience with all forms of metal fabrication, welding and machining processes
Extensive knowledge of ISO and CWB policies and procedures
Experience with quality auditing and NCR/SCAR
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities
Practical welding and/or machining experience a definite asset
