This role reports to the Quality Control Manager and is responsible for supporting all the activities associated with the quality of Raw Materials to Finished Goods transformation process.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct internal investigations on internal and external quality issues and establish quality controls.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.
  • Collaborate with operation, Design engineering/R&D, purchasing and logistics to conceptualize and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Prepare detailed data to identify quality issues and make recommendations to production supervisors and operations team.
  • Train and sign off employees to meet quality standards in all areas of the production process.
  • Understand and escalate complex and unusual situations to the appropriate resources e.g., R&D, Logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with creation, updating and review of SOPs, Fast field forms, and QA control documentation.
  • Conducting detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues (current state)
  • Conducts statistical retest and performance tests as detailed in the Quality Control Plan
  • Establish performance standards, procedures, and audit controls to meet business requirements, as well as identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Support new product development by integrating quality control tools into processes.
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, corporate and customer specifications.
  • Support QA in both Saint John and Sussex facilities.
  • Analysis of production scraps and reworks
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the management from time to time.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
  • Post-secondary technical education. A degree in Mechanical Engineering would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of ISO standard rules
  • Ability to write reports and analyze data.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Desirable certifications Green Belt, Black Belt, Six Sigma or similar.
  • Teamwork-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated high self-motivation with a strong desire to solve problems.
