JOB SUMMARY:

Core Purpose and Essence of the Position:

A Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for implementing internal and external quality standards. This includes basic quality auditing, process development, procedure validation, documentation and reporting to support operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\xe2\x97\x8f Implement the DSV North America Quality Management System structure at the site level.

\xe2\x97\x8f Support the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing the Quality Management System and related projects for multiple sites.

\xe2\x97\x8f Conduct Quality Improvement Team (QIT) meetings, follow up on action items, and maintain the QIT action plan.

\xe2\x97\x8f Conduct regular process audits, providing recommendations to address identified gaps.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure timely submission of Site Quality Monthly Reports as required by the North America Quality Team (NAQT).

\xe2\x97\x8f Directly engage with operational leaders and associates to ensure effective implementation of the quality system.

\xe2\x97\x8f Act as the designated site Document Control Administrator, overseeing the Document, Data, and Records system.

\xe2\x97\x8f Perform document management tasks using the Quality Information System (QIS), including creation, updates, and uploads.

\xe2\x97\x8f Support problem-solving tasks using quality tools such as why-why diagrams, fishbone, checklists, control charts, etc.

\xe2\x97\x8f Advocate and promote the Ideas program for the site and communicate related status.

\xe2\x97\x8f Engage in Continuous Improvement/Lean projects, Management of Change, training, coaching, and mentoring site teams.

\xe2\x97\x8f Participate in coordinating and implementing objectives, policies, and operating procedures, evaluating effectiveness, and suggesting improvements.

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist in developing corrective actions for client complaints, nonconformances, and audits.

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist with documentation for the Supplier Management system for vendors supporting the operation.

\xe2\x97\x8f Support quality-oriented training, coordinating with site HR and Training department for recording training.

\xe2\x97\x8f Effectively communicate procedural issues for management resolution.

\xe2\x97\x8f Involved in administrative functions, including quality and training documentation.

\xe2\x97\x8f Responsible for the 5-star audit of the site.

\xe2\x97\x8f Perform other duties as required by site management to support quality management and control.

PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:

The primary exchange will be working with upper management, operations manager, supervisor, team lead and warehouse operators.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

\xe2\x97\x8f Bachelor\'s degree in Distribution/Logistics, Quality Management, or related field of study preferred. Equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered.

\xe2\x97\x8f Prior warehouse management systems experience preferred.

\xe2\x97\x8f Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

\xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrated skills in problem solving, process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, layout design, establishing performance, standards/metrics, instructional skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Must also possess intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. MS PowerPoint, Visio skills an asset.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described above are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The employee will spend majority of the time in the warehouse environment which includes client product, racks, conveyers, stairs, people, and multiple levels of storage. All safety precautions should be followed when navigating through the operation.

The nature of this job will require up to 40% travel between multiple sites.
