Tim-Br-Fab Industries, a COR certified 100% Canadian owned manufacturer of roof and floor trusses and supplier of pre-engineered wood products, is currently accepting applications for the position of Quality Assurance Manager at our Tim-BR-Fab Oak Bluff Branch.

Quality Assurance Manager - Oak Bluff Branch

Get ready to build your career as we continue to build our company. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to all aspects of quality assurance throughout, and play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation of wall panels and other manufactured goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with production managers and engineers to optimize manufacturing quality assurance processes to enhance product quality and efficiencies
• Provide technical assistance and product knowledge to customer base when required
• Conduct job site visits to ensure proper product performance when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality tests, inspections, and audits.
• Prepare quality reports and metrics for management review, highlighting key performance indicators and areas requiring improvement
• Assist in managing installers, sub contractors and vendors
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met
• Monitor project progress and adjust as needed to meet timeline & budget constraints
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to customers & management
• Resolve any issues that arise during construction process
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project is progressing as planned
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including the Health and Safety program
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required

Preferred Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

• Proficiency in reading equipment manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Some knowledge of structural wood building components
• Previous framing or carpentry experience
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Red Seal Endorsement for Carpentry would be an asset but not required
• Project Management experience would also be an asset
